I have been deeply saddened by the news of the death of former Bulgarian President, outstanding statesman, public and political figure Zhelyu Zhelev.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deep condolences to you, his family and the entire people of Bulgaria.
